ot..Fanuc 18i & Angular Axis control

just wondering if anyone has played with this feature & had luck with it. The book ( user manual ) is FAR from clear as to how to use this feature. Basically, I would like my X axis to move on say a 20 deg angle...that is move the x axis and the y follows suit.....

Somehow I think Fanuc loses a bit of info when translating their manuals...could be the broken english, but something tells me I am not getting the full story

Thanks!

I wish it was that easy. Apparantly in this control you can rotate an axis in the parameters...so even in a manual mode you can hand crack the axis and it will move on whatever angle you specify. Trying to "easily" fit a part 82" long on a machine with 78" of travel...by moving diagonally.
