Create point along entity

How do you create points along entity in X?

 

I have a spline which is half a cicle created as an edge curve. I normally create 4 ponts along this spline, delete only spline now create circle 3 points.Now I have an arc to machine instead of an spline.

Next question where is create circle 3 points?

There is create arc 3 points but not circle?

Chuck the Icon shows 3 points but it works off 2 points only?

I want to ncreate a Circle through 3 points

After you select circle edgpoints. On the ribbon bar to the right of the 3pt Icon on the far left there is a 2 point icon (default) and a 3 point icon. I tried it it works a circle through 3 points.

David, If it's flat, it's a perfect job for Edit-Simplify.

Along mode (Relative Position ribbon bar)

The Select button on the Relative Position ribbon bar activates the Along mode. This mode allows you to create a new entity along an existing entity. In Along mode, you will be prompted to select a line, arc, or spline.
