fanuc om parameter

my machine is moving all 3 axis at the same time in rapid move. i know on other controls there is a parameter that can inhibit this where the xy move independent of z. does anyone know if this can be set in the fanuc controls

Why not set your control def to break the moves?

 

Control def >> linear and set your desired output there.

I just looked through all the Params for the OM and there does not appear to be one for this.

 

I have tweeked my post to make my tool go to clearance, then and Y go home before the Z goes home. I did this because Z is sometimes below clearance and when the tool went home, it came down in to the part.

john my move is a rapid position move (G0)NOT linear.

lee where i came across the problem was when tool finished mill pocket it went to the clearance plane the it positioned to the next pocket which was on a lower plane and xyz moved all at smae time to get there. causing tool to get into top of part.

john my control def is set up to break the rapid moves. that is the first thing i checked. but still outputting all 3 axis on same line

Your tool should not move down in to the part until it is above the working area.

 

Maybe check some of your parameters in the toolpath.

Do you have an absolute clearance value in your parameters page? An Absolute clearance value and an incremental feed plane and top of stock value will cause Mcam to output x and y separately from z.
