4th axis stitching

just wondering how to use the b axis to stitch

i have never had a fuul 4th always indexed stitched and so on.

what type of toolpath do you use and how do you get it to use the 4th

I have a part that comes down in the y axis then makes a 90 degree bend to the 270 side like a twist

thats not bad ...14 min a meg have you got a picture or maybe you could make a clay model and send it via US mail ..that might be a little faster...god our isp bites the big one

oh sweet ..11.4 megs for the original file ...normally my isp would have it on my desktop before i get the IE window minimized but not today...swear i had a 36 k modem that ran faster than this....duh 1.09k/sec

I'm looking at it. What exactly do you want to run in Full Rotary? To me, the part seems like a 3 axis part the way it's set up. Am I missing something?

ok if you look at the solid in the front view as the leg comes down and rotates to the 270 side I fould like to stitch all the way around the corner from B0 to B270

I am not sure what James sent you, but here is my take on it. Use 5 axis flow with a 4 axis output. Select your sufaces at this view and should be good from here. I would check surfaces to keep it off of your small wall you have there. You could also try 5 axis Cruve but that requires you to do a little work so try this 1st if not I can show you how to use 5 axis curve wit ha 4th axis output.
