Surface Depth

i have a surface that is a -.500 deep groove with .051 rads on the bottom of it

 

 

now when i finish it with a 3/32 ballmill it only goes -.498 deep even if i have cut depths set to -.505

 

is there a way i can get this tool down to depth or am i just missing something

constant z would do that, why not try Blend/scallop/pencil to floor it.

 

can leave walls with what u have now.

im finishing it with surface finish contour the finish has to be very good

Ya tahts what I mean Constantz is another name for surf finish countour, and u will not get it to touch floor.

 

Do a seperate toolpath strategy for flooring it.

May also use steep shallow limits for floor

try setting your depth to -.500 rather than -.505
