Saving stl from verify

Anyone have issues with saving stl files from verify to use in verify? Seems like the larger the file size of this stl file the more problems I run into. Most of the time that it happens I get an error message that says "Operation Failed" with a box to click OK. After clicking OK, that file is 0 bytes in size.

 

X3 and X4.

 

Dell T7400, 4 gigs ram, Nvidia Quadro FX 4600 video card. Dual 22" flar screens.

try lowering the tolerance of the stl

I am normally set to .oo2. I tried going to .003. How much can you safely open this up to?

I have tried lowering the tolerance of the STL (.010) and the tool tolerance (.008) as well and have found no difference in the size of the file, both of them are 27.3 mb.

It seems to work better for me if you save a few op's at a time and do it over and over and over......... until you have the stl you want.

 

If I try doing multiple HST's at once, MCAM freaks out on the "save as stl" in verify. I have to do one, save it. Then start the next op with that stock, save it. Then start the next op with the newer stock, save it.

 

You get the idea. It kinda sucks, but I have not been able to get it to work any other way.

CNC, that has pretty much been my experiaence as well.
