Misc. Integers

Can someone tell me why when I switched from one post to another that the names for my misc. integers no longer appear?

The Misc. Int are called out by the post you select that's way. Each post may have different misc int. set the each one.

 

What are you trying to set?

If I am right here, your .pst file reads a .txt file, and your second post you used isn't set up for the same integers or isn't commented in the .txt file. Just my most logical guess here.

Caputo is right. The Misc Values are taken from the .txt file that matches your .pst file.

This is a problem that occured when we went from V9 to V9.1. I have the post saved in a folder in My Documents that I use most of the time and the same post in the post folder in mastercam. Both the same post for the same machine just a couple of differences as far as settings. When I use the one in my Documents I do not get the names for the Integers. I know what they are but if anyone else tries to use this they may not.

I have found the text file and it has all the Integers named although there seems to be a couple of new files that I have never noticed that have the extension .tv9. I think these came when I updated my post to V9.1. One of the files seems to be the post the other the text file with no integers named. What are these and why the new file extension??

Did you copy the .txt as well as the .pst ?

Just another stab in the dark here... Try putting a copy of the .txt file into your My Documents folder and see if the post reads it.

Then copy the .txt file that matches the .pst file to My Documents, then re-load the post. You should see the changes.

The text file is also in the same folder in my documents. As I said I never had this problem until I updated posts to V9.1. I have had things set up like this ever since I started using V9.

GOT IT!!!!!!!! Some how my text file did not match the post. I just deleted the one in my documents and copied the one that was working. Just the text file though. If this posses any known problems please let me know. Thanks guys.

My guess would be that he posted an answer, then re-read it and decided he didn't answer your question
