I think like columbo said might be the best way to do that, you could program the original position, then do a point tool path at each location you want the feature and call a sub, m98 p_____, but you would have to have the path programmed incrementaly.

oh I got you I thought you were trying to do multpile parts on the table of the machine. so you have a feature that has 74 ops and you want to translate that feature at certain postions on the part that do not have a grid right?

I guess what I am getting at are you trying to translate these to an exact spot, (like in your tooling) or are you just going to clamp in vises.

ok translate between points should do the trick, it is easier to create points where you want the translation to go to.

what are you trying to transform? between horizontal faces, or vertical positions are there rotations involved?

I like constant overlap spiral with 65% stepover, faster and cleans floor. Or like colin said high speed!

overlap doesnt require adding an extra pass.

I would not suggest you try and fix it yourself, it will probably have to be redone shortly.

Maybe Tree has a repair exchange program you can install the spindle yourself but I wouldnt suggest you try to rebuild it.

yes you can translate between points, or planes or points and planes, as far as the tool path order you need to transform the in the order you want to use them sometimes you can traform all operations if each operation is a seperate tool but if you have a tool doing several operation you need to transform just those operations then the others seperately.

I forgot to mention you need to chesk the box for operation order or not!
